Dave Ramsey has no Place in Public Schools

There is often discussion in the hardcore Ramsey Personalities Facebook groups that "we need to teach our kids personal finance in school and Dave Ramsey is the perfect guy to do it." That's completely asinine.
We don't need Dave Ramsey's courses in our public school. Some school apparently are already doing it. I would protest this if it happened in my school district, whether I had kids going there or not.
Bringing Dave Ramsey's program into a public school to teach finance is like contracting McDonald's corporation to teach nutrition, a priest to teach sex education, or a white supremacist to teach history. Their bias is too great and focus too myopic to be beneficial. As I've mentioned in previous posts, abstinence isn't the solution for dangerous (perceived or real) things. Proper use and education is.
Imagine if Anthony Oneal-Ramsey were to present his "debt free degree" to a packed auditorium of parents and their student children. Don't be fooled with the cutesy alliterative name. It's a dangerous premise that could deny students a good education all because of his aversion to student loans. This is a topic for another post, but the point here is that Ramsey Personalities don't need to be in the public school systems.
